Penghargaan Game of The Year 2021 dari Playstation Blog

Para pemenang Game of The Year 2021 telah keluar. Ada begitu banyak judul game yang mengikuti periode pemungutan suara. Berikut ini beberapa pemenang dari penghargaan Game of The Year 2021 dari Playstation Blog.

Best New Character

Lady Dimitrescu dari Resident Evil Village menjadi karakter baru terbaik tahun ini. Karakter ini memang menjadi sangat populer sejak peluncuran Resident Evil Village.  Lady Dimitrescu menjadi karakter yang benar-benar ikonik dan kehadirannya memang sangat sulit untuk dilupakan.

Selain Lady Dimitrescu, karakter yang juga mendapatkan piala emas hingga perunggu untuk karakter baru terbaik adalah Rivet (Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart), Tenzo (Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut) dan Alex Chen (Life is Strange: True Colors).

Best Story

Jika Lady Dimitrescu memenangkan karakter terbaik, Resident Evil Village memenangkan penghargaan sebagai game dengan cerita terbaik. Kisah Resident Evil Village dimulai dengan kesederhanaan yang menipu. 

Capcom memang benar-benar melakukan pekerjaan yang luar biasa dengan game ini. 

Tiga game lainnya yang juga mendapatkan penghargaan emas hingga perunggu untuk cerita terbaik adalah Life is Strange: True Colors, Marvel’s Guardian of The Galaxy dan Ratchet & Clank.

Best Art Direction

Kategori Best Art Direction sangat sulit untuk menentukan pemenangnya. Namun pada akhirnya, kategori Best Art Direction jatuh pada game besutan Insomniac Games yaitu Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart. 

Kemenangan ini juga menandakan bahwa Insomniac Games akhirnya bisa kembali menemukan gaya seni mereka setelah terakhir kali mereka menang untuk PS2. Pada urutan kedua ada Little Nightmare 2, urutan ketiga ada It Takes Two dan terakhir ada Hell di urutan keempat.
